چکیده

Abstract. Observations of winds in the planetary boundary layer remain sparse making it challenging to simulate and predict atmospheric conditions that are most important for describing predicting urban air quality. Short-lived chemicals observed as plumes whose location is affected by lifetime height mixing. Here we investigate application data assimilation NO2 columns will be from geostationary orbit improve predictions retrospective analysis wind fields layer.

REMOTE SENSING OF WEATHER FOR AVIATION MANAGEMENT Pravas

Remote sensing of weather is recognized as an important step to enhance the quality of aviation. In the last two decades important strides have been made in understanding the role of atmospheric phenomena in aviation, and devising instruments and systems for mitigating their disruptive effects. This paper provides a brief summary of some of the main developments. The diversity of the types of a...

Active-passive Optical Remote Sensing for Weather and Climate Research

Studying optical properties of atmospheric aerosol is important because aerosol affects people around the world significantly. Aerosol can directly affect climate change by scattering and absorption of solar and other radiations, and also indirectly affect the radiation by affecting cloud formation. Tropospheric aerosol is associated with air pollution and adverse health effects. These effects ...

Simulated retrievals for the remote sensing of CO2, CH4, CO, and H2O from geostationary orbit

The Geostationary Fourier Transform Spectrometer (GeoFTS) is designed to measure high-resolution spectra of reflected sunlight in three near-infrared bands centered around 0.76, 1.6, and 2.3 μm and to deliver simultaneous retrievals of column-averaged dry air mole fractions of CO2, CH4, CO, and H2O (denoted XCO2, XCH4, XCO, and XH2O, respectively) at different times of day over North America. I...

Possibility Using Remote Sensing for Estimation Sediment Resources to Reservoir of Exploitation Dams

Sedimentation in reservoirs is a prerequisite for sustainable water management. The Dez dam is very important the country because of its role in electricity frequency adjustment. The main objective of this research is to identify the sources of sediment in the catchment using satellite images, GIS and hydro-geological information. For this purpose, the lab results of sediments mineralogy reveal...
